Project: Philadelphia International Airport – U.S. Airways Express Terminal F Client: Architectural Precast, L.L.C. Architect: The Sheward Partnership This airport expansion project consisted of over 130,000 sq. ft. of architectural precast concrete cladding for Concourses 1, 2, 3, Terminal Building, Hub, and Link walkway to the existing terminal in addition to the 8-story precast concrete control tower. The project was erected in the summer and fall of 2000 and included a variety of straight and radial panel shapes including spandrels, ground panels, and column covers. Civilsmith Engineering, Inc. designed and detailed all precast concrete components and the connections to the building structure with special emphasis on coordinating the intricate reveal pattern and block outs for mechanical, electrical and structural features. |
